Dr. Anand Joshi, Austin  established his private practice PM&R/Pain Medicine in Austin in 1997.  At  Pain Care Physicians, special emphasis is placed on the non-surgical options for the treatment of spinal disorders. Dr. Joshi is a specialist in pain management who strives to offer as many available non surgical alternativesfor patents suffering from spinal disorders. Pain Care Physicians, the PM&R/Pain Medicine practice located  in Austin, San Marcos, and Bastrop, TX was founded by Dr. Anand Joshi, MD.    Prior to starting this practice,  Dr. Joshi was also a shareholder in one of the largest Orthopedic Surgery Practices in Travis/Hays County from 1999-2003. He performed Electro-Diagnostics, Rehabilitation and Pain Management for the successful group of orthopedists.    At that time, Dr. Joshi also realized the importance of an 'Inter-Disciplinary' approach for patients so that they could choose their own healthcare professionals, which might lead to outcomes which do not require surgery. This original thought process ultimately led to the concept from which  'Pain Care Physicians' was created, to provide patients with recommendations such as Pain Medications, Physical Rehabilitation, Interventional Injections, Electro-Therapy, and Acupuncture, in terms of logical and sustainable plans of care. Dr. Anand Joshi MD  also works with Rehabilitation Professionals that include Doctors of Chiropractic and Physical Therapists, as well as  with physicians and surgeons.

Dr. Anand Joshi Pain Management Austin  was started in 1997 and he continues to be involved in various academic interests related to his field. He is also an associate professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at UTMB, and is active in the Travis County Medical Society, The Austin Pain Society and the Austin PM&R Society.
