RIDGELAND, Miss.—On Friday, April 23rd , 2010, McAlister’s Deli hosted the Tea for Tots Golf Classic at Annandale Golf Club to raise funds for The Mustard Seed.  The fourth annual event comprised of several special happenings including a picnic lunch, 18-hole shotgun start golf tournament and a closing awards ceremony.  In addition to the tournament, there was also a drawdown for a trip to the SEC Championship football game and a ladies champagne brunch at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Greenfell that featured cooking demonstrations by David Groll, Executive Chef for McAlister’s Deli, and wine parings by Scott Jackson of Colony Wine Mart. Chandelier, located in Ridgeland, provided beautiful tablescape presentations while Billy Kinstley, of Green Oak, provided floral arrangements and demonstrations. Perhaps the most special event, however, was the beautiful performance by the Mustard Seed Hanbell Choir, Bells of Faith. The day concluded with a Silent Auction featuring art created by Mustard Seedsters, weekend getaways, paintings by local artists and other exclusive packages. It was a wonderful day that boasted a great crowd, and McAlister’s was able to raise $45,000 for The Mustard Seed. Last year’s event raised $35,000  for the Mustard Seed.
 
The Mustard Seed seeks to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual needs of mentally challenged adults by providing a loving and protected Christian community and meaningful activities that allow the participants to fulfill their full potential.  “We are proud to host this tournament to support The Mustard Seed as they work to better our community.  McAlister’s Deli is dedicated to working to improve the lives of others and supporting those who share in that mission with us,” says Phil Friedman, President and CEO of McAlister’s Deli.
