Miami Wedding Photographer Feels the Heat as Bride Makes Him Jump Through Hoops
08-Aug-2012 | News-Press Release
Parkland, FL ( prsafe ) August 2, 2012 - While LeBron James led the Miami Heat to NBA victory on the basketball courts, Miami wedding photographer Jay Guttveg of Creative Focus Photography has been jumping through hoops himself in ballrooms throughout South Florida.
Guttveg does wedding photography in Miami for some of the most discerning brides in South Florida. It's his job to not only capture key moments of the event, but to portray the couple and their families in a glamorous light without looking contrived.
"It's very much a team effort," Guttveg explains, "with all the participants working together to make the wedding a fun, resounding success." Just like his counterparts on the basketball court, there needs to be coordination, timing and moment to moment changes from the original timeline to capture the images that will tell the story of the couple's most important day.
More often than not, there are always challenges to overcome. Factors such as weather, location issues, lighting, uncooperative vendors, equipment glitches and hot tempers make the path to fabulous wedding photos more zigzag than a straight shot.
"That's where experience plays an important role," Guttveg says emphatically. Whether that entails bringing backup equipment or simply knowing how to bring out the best in people, you only get one chance to get it right. This is where the basketball metaphor breaks down. "We don't have the luxury of a best of seven series..." Jay quips.
However with the advent of digital photography, you get a chance to check the out the shot in the moment to make sure everyone's expressions are good, an opportunity you didn't get with film. You just had to hope it came out well when the film was developed, so you covered the bases by taking multiple frames.
After the guests have all gone home and the band is packed, this South Florida wedding photographer's job is far from over. Guttveg must now compile all the images into a final masterpiece to convey the joy, romance and fun of the wedding couple's most glorious day in a unique and stylish presentation.
Unlike LeBron James, Creative Focus' superstar plays become evident many weeks after the wedding reception is over and done.
