Hands-on Workshop Clinic to Assess Cardiac Function
26-Apr-2011 | News-Press Release
A prime focus of this full day workshop will be to analyze quantitative lusitropic and inotropic responses to vasoactive drugs administered to the animal to purposely alter preload, afterload, heart rate and contractility. Attendees will get first-hand experience with surgical equipment, Scisense ADVantageTM pressure-volume system and catheter, and PV loop analysis software.
Understanding of how scientific measurements are derived is essential to quality data collection and interpretation. Speakers and trainers in this workshop will cut through the clutter and summarize the key concepts in analyzing cardiac function using pressure-volume loops in the large animal model.
Why Attend?
- Learn new surgical procedures
- Stay abreast of new PV loop technology
- Better understand cardiac performance indicators
- Improve data collection techniques
