New Delhi, May 3, 2011: Cotton Council International (CCI) is excited to announce the third edition of its tee shirt design competition TeeZing.  The theme this year is “Cotton for all Seasons”. The competition pays homage to everyone’s favourite cotton garment – the tee shirt.  Always in style, there’s a tee shirt for every occasion and this year we’re asking participants to show us how it works for all seasons.  The competition is open to young and old and is a fun way to express what cotton means to them in every season.  The competition will run from April 26 to June 4, 2011.  Entries can be submitted online at www.allaboutcotton.com.

Entries for TeeZing 2011 are invited from the school as well as the general category. The top three national winners of TeeZing will be awarded cash prizes worth Rs.100,000/, Rs. 75,000/- and Rs.50,000/- respectively in the general category. Additionally, the top 3 designs / entries from schools will be awarded cash prizes worth Rs.15,000/, Rs. 10,000/- and Rs.5,000/- respectively. Top designers will also get a chance to be featured in Platform magazine. To increase the chances of winning for each participant, CCI has allowed multiple entry options.

“TeeZing is a fun way to celebrate the humble tee shirt and highlight cotton’s style quotient.  Creativity, fun and fashion come together in this competition, making it one of our most popular activities.  This year we hope to inspire people to think of cotton in a new way with the theme “Cotton for all Seasons”.  Weaving its way through our lives, cotton is truly a year-round fibre,” said Ms. Agnieszka Fijol, Cotton Council International Representative (Program Head-India).

CCI brings together leading names from the design and fashion fraternity to form the jury for this competition.  Winners will be announced on June 10, 2011. TeeZing is being promoted through mass mailers, online advertising, in-school programs, colleges and design institutes, along with communities on popular online social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Orkut etc, and is supported by Platform magazine, Seventymm.com and Smile Foundation, the charity partner for the event. The top 5 winning designs will be retailed through the Seventymm online shop.
