The Whiskey Boys Book Release

04-May-2011 | News-Press Release

This book is a brief riveting account of heroism illustrated by President George Washington’s historical march into Pennsylvania and Secretary of the Treasurer, Alexander Hamilton’s attempt to courageously rescue our nation from a great financial crisis. This book along with many others planned for publication in the future will become part of our “Glimpse into the Pages of History Series”, through brief precise pages our goals are to capture the interest of young readers with fascinating topics from History with the hopes of enhancing their knowledge about historical events.

This became a personal goal of the author, Jacqualyn Simmons while working in the public school system years ago and discovering the lack of interest and knowledge children demonstrated in social studies which in some cases still exist today. In order to accomplish this goal, The Whiskey Boys was printed in easy read format. The book entails a glossary and some interesting facts are listed in the back.

The author wrote this book with the intensions of capturing the interest of school age children through brief precise pages rather than the traditional extended versions of historical information in order to stimulate reading and learning about historical facts. The author plans to release several books pertaining to historical information in similar format in the near future to accomplish this goal. In addition to the current availability on amazon.com, the book will become available to other retail chains, schools, and public libraries within six to eight weeks. Readers can view the author’s profile and sneak preview on amazon.com.
