FaceTite is an advanced facial tightening procedure that gives sagging or drooping skin an instant lift, tightening skin on the forehead, eyes, cheeks, mouth and jowls.  A fine probe inserted into the fatty layer of skin warms it and causes it to tighten immediately.  No tissue is removed, the procedure is minimally invasive and it is performed under local rather than general anaesthetic.

FaceTite is currently only offered by the Skin Institute in Parnell, and Karina Hassall, Cosmetic Nurse and Clinic Manager says the procedure is “a bit like putting woollies into a drier.”

“The way FaceTite works is it heats the tissue up from the inside, the tissue shrinks and there is an instant tightening of the skin,” she says.  “The shrinking of the cells then stimulates collagen production, giving not only tighter skin but better skin tone and texture.”

Karina says that since the Skin Institute launched FaceTite in New Zealand three months ago, customers who have tried the procedure have reported that the results keep getting better.

“Our customers are telling us that following the treatment they are noticing that retraction of the tissue continues for weeks and months afterwards, with the best results noticeable after 6 – 12 weeks.
