Lake Forest, IL ( prsafe ) May 23, 2012 - Current Brook Furniture Rental CEO Robert W. Crawford, Jr.,has announced that Bob Crawford, III has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Chicago area based furniture rental company.

Mr. Crawford founded Brook Furniture Rental in 1979, commented on the history, heritage, and future of the company in a company-wide email announcing the change.

"For 33 years, Brook Furniture Rental's talented and dedicated team has grown the company into an industry leader. Thanks to your hard work and positive contributions, we have successfully weathered many challenges and an unpredictable economic climate, we have maintained strong relationships with our customers, and we have grown and improved the business in many ways. Thank you for the dedication and commitment you bring to work every day."

Regarding the new appointment, Mr. Crawford noted that the future is just as bright with Bob Crawford III in the CEO position.

"Looking to the future, I believe that Brook is poised for success in the next 30 years and beyond. A key component of that success is new leadership, and the time is right to make this change. Since 2007, Bob has led several key growth initiatives and has played a critical role in the company's business planning, marketing and branding efforts, technology and process improvements and operations. I still love working, and I plan on being heavily involved in working with the operating regions, with our customers, and with our partners as Founder and Chairman of the Company. On a personal note, I also want to say that it is a joy to transition this role to someone who is not just a proven business executive, but also a son whom I respect and admire. His energy, optimism and his relationships with team members and customers will carry Brook into a new chapter and onto further success. Mr. Crawford III enters his new position with 5 years of experience at Brook, and also a wealth of business, marketing and sales knowledge from a wide range of corporate enterprises. For 16 years prior to Brook, he worked with 2 major Fortune 500 Companies, The Coca-Cola Company, and The Quaker Oats Company. At Coca-Cola, where he spent 10 years in Atlanta, GA, he was Director of Marketing for The Coca-Cola Company's largest North America foodservice revenue segment. Prior to Coca-Cola, he was a Brand Manager for The Quaker Oats Company. Mr. Crawford III holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, a MS from the London School of Economics, and a BA from Carleton College in Northfield, MN.
