Southwest Schools Offer Computer Accounting Specialist Program

Southwest Schools of Texas is enrolling students in its rewarding Computer Accounting Specialist program. The Computer Accounting Specialist program is designed to teach students the skills needed for their certification and to gain entry level positions as  accounting assistants, bookkeepers, and/or auditing clerks in an accounting environment.

The certificate program curriculum includes general clerical training as well as specialized training in computerized accounting and is designed to give students the skills they need to apply for entry-level jobs. In an environment of continually changing taxes and regulations, businesses are constantly seeking well-trained computer accounting specialists. Computer Accounting Specialists play a vital role in providing an array of accounting services and applications, with an emphasis on computer technology.

Due to the increasing automation of accounting procedures, accounting positions are going to become increasingly competitive in the future. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts steady employment growth for computer accounting specialists through 2018.

The Computer Accounting Specialist program offered by Southwest Schools covers all areas of the job including payroll accounting, accounting practices, and business law.  This thorough training course also provides instruction in many other areas of the accounting industry, including posting transactions to accounts, using record-keeping systems and operating accounting software, while also developing a thorough understanding of general accounting principles and practice.
