Supporters Announce Fundraising Campaign to Assist with Damages

DALLAS, TX July 18, 2012 - Theatrical acting is much more a passion than a means to economic lavishness. On June 13, 2012 the cast and crew of Twelfth Night were hit even harder.

While rehearsing for this year's Shakespeare in the Park performance of Twelfth Night, a freakish storm hit directly in the outdoor park. Baseball sized hail pounded the actors, crew and their vehicles. Front and back car windows were blown out. The Weather Channel described the storm as "Apocalyptic". Damages around the city are in the millions.

For the actors and crew, the economic damage has been severe. Many of these individuals do not carry full coverage much less coverage for the expense of rental cars and deductibles.

Supporters and benefactors have united to help out these actors and crew. They are getting the word out to raise funds for those affected. A few dollars each and much needed support can be provided. Whether $1, $5, or $50; all funds will benefit the actors and crew that have documented damage to their vehicles. The funds will be distributed by the professional administrators at Shakespeare Dallas.
