Google plans to spend up to $100 million on a YouTube revamp to compete in the broadcast space. It's in part an effort to attract loyal users, and, in turn, advertisers, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Google plans to spend up to $100 million on a YouTube revamp to compete in the broadcast space. It's in part an effort to attract loyal users, and, in turn, advertisers, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Plans include an updated homepage with special channels, some of which will highlight original programming. The channels will also redistribute content that already exists.
