“We jumped on the social media bandwagon right away,” said Sergio. “Clients can really get to know you, and not just on a business level, but on a personal level too. From YouTube to Twitter, social media helps get our message out in a fun and efficient way.”

As part of the process of staying engaged with clients, Sergio also places an emphasis on building strong relationships with each member of her real estate team. Sergio maintains an open door policy with her agents, and one-on-one meetings are commonplace.

“You have to be a chameleon in this market,” said Sergio. “You have to reinvent yourself constantly. You need to be flexible and quick-moving. Short sales, foreclosures, new financing requirements and social media are all new forces in our marketplace today. Education, technology and Internet transparency are all important to stay ahead of the curve.”

The time and effort that Sergio dedicates to working with her agents has paid off, as many of her agents have been awarded with multiple honors and recognitions. Also, the close-knit relationship she has forged with her agents has created a family-like environment where teamwork is prevalent.
