Volusion Ecommerce Specialists Launch New Website

News-Press Release

(Newsbox) 31-Mar-2012

Brand Labs, a southeast Michigan-based ecommerce studio specializing in the Volusion platform, have launched a new website.

Beginning as a four man operation working out of a single, cramped office, Brand Labs has grown rapidly and now has nearly three dozen full time employees.  The ecommerce studio’s new website (launched in late February of this year) showcases the abilities of the entire team.

“The new site really says a lot about Brand Labs as a whole,” explains Dane Downer, Brand Labs’ VP and co-founder.  “It’s a living, breathing testament to the range of our in-house abilities.  Design, illustration, copy, custom development; every bit of the site was done by us.  That’s important because we’re not just Volusion experts – we specialize in building complete ecommerce operations and we have professionals of every stripe on staff.  Artists, programmers, marketers... the site really shows off the talents of our whole team.”

Brand Labs was founded in 2006 in order to develop the website that would eventually become the official online store of The Red Hat Society, which bills itself as the world’s largest social club.  In the intervening years, Brand Labs found a niche in the crowded web design marketplace by focusing their efforts on ecommerce and more specifically, on the Volusion shopping cart platform.

“It’s all about serving our customers and Volusion does that,” Downer continued.  “In the cases where our clients need something that Volusion can’t quite do out of the box, we make it happen.  That’s why the site redesign was so important to us at this stage in our development.  We needed a proper platform to talk about our range.  We started out as just an ecommerce site design studio, but now we’re much more like a total business development studio. That’s been a critical part of our growth.  We used to work with a lot of mom & pop shops, but these days, we tend to work with large companies, often for years at a time – we needed a site that reflected that new, bigger, better Brand Labs.  Now, we finally have that site.”

Brand Labs’ client list includes National Geographic UK, WeatherBug, Nalgene and GAMA-GO.  Their new website can be found at http://www.brandlabs.us/
