GAO’s T.38 fax relay software is fully compliant with ITU-T T.38 fax relay specification and supports commonly used processors such as TI C5000 & C6000 series DSPs, ARM processors and ADI DSPs and OS such as Windows and Linux.

Toronto, CanadaGAO Research Inc. (www.GAOResearch.com) is offering its T.38 Fax Relay Software in compliance with the latest ITU-T recommendations. It is fully compliant with ITU-T T.38 fax relay specification and supports commonly used processors such as TI C5000 & C6000 series DSPs, ARM processors and ADI DSPs and OS such as Windows and Linux. The T.38 fax relay software solution operates within a multi-tasking environment and is optimized for fixed-point arithmetic.

This fax relay over IP software allows the transfer of facsimile documents in real-time between two facsimile terminals over the Internet or other networks using IP protocols. The latest revision clarifies H.323, H.248.1, SIP and SDP call establishment and improves the compatibility between T.38 gateways and Group 3 facsimile. It is fully compliant with ITU-T T.38 fax relay specification while supporting V.17/V.29/V.27ter Standards.

GAO’s T.38 fax relay software offers re-entrant implementation which is optimized for multi-channel support on a single DSP. It has been integrated and tested with fax data modems providing operating data rates of up to 14.4 kbps. A "spoofing" function is implemented to prevent jitter, delay or lost packets. In addition, this T.38 fax relay software provides support for both UDP and TCP.

This T.38 fax relay software belongs to GAO’s family of Fax Software. This line includes various products such as V27ter Fax Modem Software which is 4800bps and 2400bps modem and is used in the general switched telephone network, V.34 Fax Modem Software which incorporates a higher level of optional capabilities, intelligence, and adaptability than the lower V series modems to make the best use of the available conditions, and T.4 Fax Modem Protocol which will work with T.30 and V series standards to enable two fax modems communicate with each other.
