The Online Poker World Championship, also called OPWC, is a competition for online poker players around the world and celebrates its world premiere on August 3rd, when the contest will start full throttle.

Poker players from every corner of the planet will be able, from this date on, to compete against others just by playing Online Poker like they have done so far.

But for the first time in the history of Poker in a fully automated challenge, which can be joined anytime and identifies the best players of the world via their poker performance.

From August 3rd loads of adrenaline will run through the veins of players with the start of the first qualification phase named “Period”. Six of these periods are needed to identify the best poker players from each continent, who will have the opportunity to compete in the highest class tournament - at the OPWC Main Event, which takes place once a year. 

Four Continental Teams will send their members to prove who the real king of poker is. The World Championship Title is going to be owned by the Team, that proves its mettle at the poker tables with passion and determination.

The title is waiting to be claimed by the next online poker super stars, which will receive not only a huge sponsorship deal but also the fame and respect of the online poker realm. The OPWC opens a unique door for every player independently of bankrolls or skill levels – the participation is free of charge.

The Online Poker World Championship, simply called the OPWC, is an international poker competition between online poker players, who are registered on the official website. The championship will been awarded every year since its world premiere in 2012/13.
