20-Aug-2012 | News-Press Release
Kings Beach, CA (prsafe) August 17, 2012 - Tahoe Mountain Sports is excited to launch a new mobile e-commerce site that will put our amazing gear, clothing and footwear at customers' fingertips on the go.
Now when you're shivering on the chair lift, wishing you had that extra layer, or on the road, remembering what you forgot to pack, you can order right from your phone so your next day on the hill is even better, or your package is waiting at your next destination.
Tahoe Mountain Sports worked with CommerceV3 to expand its web presence to the rapidly-growing world of mobile devices from iPhones and Androids to tablets.
About a year ago our Google analytics started to show a huge spike in mobile visitors from iPhones, tablets and Android phones," Said TMS owner David Polivy. "There was a lot of industry talk about mobile commerce, and we decided to get involved. "
Blake Ellis of Commerce V3, the company who created the current Tahoe Mountain Sports website, said TMS was a perfect candidate for going mobile.
"The team at TMS is great to work with because they've really thought mobile out. They know their customers, they watch analytics and they don't cut corners. They're not afraid to do the work to get it right, and it was a great pleasure to help them launch this important new facet of their business," Ellis said.
Tahoe Mountain Sports is among the first outdoor retailers in the Tahoe Area to launch a mobile website, and is a single store joining the ranks of major international gear retailers on this growing platform.
"Now, when you think of that critical piece of gear or read an article in a magazine about the latest jacket, you don't have to try and remember it until you're in front of a computer - you can order it right away from your phone," Polivy said.
