Vintage Bathrooms Continue To Make A Splash

27-Sep-2012 | Leeds | General Article (Non-News)

Leeds, West Yorkshire ( Newsbox ) September 27, 2012 - In these uncertain times we tend to hanker after security and this is translating into an upsurge in sales of vintage style baths and bathroom suites, according to discount retailer BargainBathrooms4U.

"We've always stocked a range of Victorian and Edwardian style freestanding baths but this year they've sold in huge numbers. There's definitely a strong trend towards a vintage look and customers are definitely veering away from the more modern designs," - James Roberts, Owner [Pre-Approved Quote]

James Roberts, owner of Bargain Bathrooms 4 U said: "We've always stocked a range of Victorian and Edwardian style freestanding baths but this year they've sold in huge numbers. There's definitely a strong trend towards a vintage look and customers are definitely veering away from the more modern designs, for the time being at least."

"Up until recently customers for the most part preferred modern-looking baths and suites but our ranges that have been styled to reflect the past are our biggest sellers at the moment."

Bargain Bathrooms 4 U has earned a reputation for stocking a wide range of high-quality, discount bathroom products and cheap bathroom suites. "It's always been our aim to stock the best products at the keenest prices and I think this has been the key to our success. Customers definitely shop around, especially at the moment. We stock the very latest styles and design trends - customers come to us as they know they'll be able to grab a bargain!" added James.

The average British home tends to have a fairly small bathroom, however James is keen to stress that they have freestanding baths in a range of sizes so most homeowners should be able to follow the latest trend. "I think when most people think of a Victorian freestanding bath they tend to think of a huge cast iron bath on clawed feet. Whilst these do look great they're not really a practical option for most homes. We do sell some smaller, more compact freestanding baths and some of the simpler designs will fit into smaller bathrooms.

"If space really is at a premium, I recommend looking at our range of shower baths. These are wider at one end than the other so whilst they don't take up the space that a freestanding bath would, they do give a luxury feel to bath time."

Bargain Bathrooms 4 U also stock a range of vintage and traditionally styled bathroom suites, a great option for older properties. "Our traditional bathroom suites have always been popular but sales have definitely increased over the last year. Customers I've spoken to say they love the classic look of these suites. For anyone who's not sure whether a traditional suite is right for their home, I suggest they give our team a call for design advice - I think they'll find we're the bath store with a difference!" said James.
