Scodix delivers first FinalTouchT Printing solution in North America following successful DSCOOP show

18-Mar-2011 | News-Press Release

Following the success of the Scodix FinalTouch™ at its debut in North American at this year's Digital Solutions Cooperative, DSCOOP6, Scodix announces the delivery of the first FinalTouch Printing solution to a billion dollar printer in central USA. The company also announces plans to support the North American market through a new office development.

According to Ziki Kuly, Scodix VP of Marketing, “FinalTouch™ printing touches both the visual and the tactile senses, triggering a sensory experience. It makes a 2-dimensional printed page, into a 3-dimension print experience without the cost and time overhead of traditional print enhancement techniques. Our intention at Scodix is to drive the printing industry to a new era of added-value, premium printing where print enhancement can be added with equal ease to runs of thousands or to a single copy.”

The Scodix FinalTouch™ printing solution using the latest inkjet technology and proprietary Scodink™ was demonstrated for HP Graphic Arts press owners at the DSCOOP event in Orlando, Florida. It was greeted with excellent market feedback and across-the-board enthusiasm.

"The Scodix FinalTouch is a game changer in the printing industry. I am positive that every customer experiencing Scodix FinalTouch™ on his job will come back and insist on using the process again,” claims Ziki. “It makes the print results something you can't resist – you have to touch it, feel it, and love it," adds Paul Gardner, an industry veteran and experienced HP digital print customer.

The Scodix1200 is the ideal solution for the vast US Graphic Arts market, supporting all forms of print that benefit from added-value enhancement, such as the greeting cards, short-run books, personalized photo albums, wedding invitations, business cards, stationary items and many more. "For all of these products FinalTouch™ effects from Scodix can make a big value-added impact," says Dror Danai, Scodix VP Sales and Business Development.

The eco-friendly Scodix1200™ press allows print service providers (PSPs) to print in-house any run, of any size, on a wide variety of substrates. It performs DigitalEmbossing™ effects on demand with variable density, gradations and a high gloss level. Capable of applying either glossy or matte embossing effects on selective areas, the Scodix1200™ adds tangible depth, texture and a whole new dimension to images and text.

Scodix soon intends to open its North American subsidiary offices and warehouses to support the company’s anticipated high numbers of customers. “We will have a dedicated team that can advise on the endless applications for Scodix FinalTouch™ and help US printers in their never-ending drive to differentiate their services" Says Dror.
