New Personal Development Software for Schools

31-Mar-2011 | News-Press Release

Following the release of their online course for individuals, Intensify Youth have released their windows application for educational establishments to deliver the training to every student in the school.  Rather than buying the course individually for each student, the software is installed on school servers and gives access to as many students as they want, making it a very cost-effective educational tool.

Despite the best efforts of teachers a shocking number of children are failing at school. Talking about the bursary scheme (http://www.education.gov.uk/inthenews/pressnotices/a0076112/180-million-new-bursary-scheme-to-help-the-most-vulnerable-16-19-year-olds)  for vulnerable 16-19 olds Michael Gove MP, Secretary of State for Education, said:

Sadly, we have been falling behind  other nations in our educational performance. We have one of the most unequal education systems in the developed world. We have an insufficient supply of high quality vocational education. We have a system of education spending which is fundamentally inefficient.

The problem for schools is trying to allocate limited resources to activities that will have the most impact on the students that need it.  Whether they call in theatre groups, go on field trips, organize after-school clubs;  schools know that education is not just about academic teaching.

The Superhero Mindset Programme qualifies as a confidence-building programme that helps students to achieve more and realise their full potential. This makes a dramatic impact on the focus, aspirations and achievements of students who complete the Superhero Mindset training.

Students fill out questionaires before and after the programme, as a measurable benchmark of what stage they start at and the progress they make.  This also provides valuable insights into the pressures and concerns that young people are dealing with on a daily basis, giving teachers a more informal platform to generate discussion on key topics affecting student performance.

Schools can give access to students throughout the entire year, as many times as they need it; and the worksheets that are used in conjunction with the video training can be used by teachers to plan relevant discussions in the classroom setting.

Good academic performance is heavily influenced by the attitude of the student in terms of self-confidence and self-defeating attitudes. The use of programmes like the Superhero Mindset at an earlier age will help to reduce the number of children struggling to complete their education.
