Avenue Bank announces promotions April 2011

Kevin Mills has been named as Director of Security. Mr. Mills previously served as Vice-President, Bank Support Manager. He has 14 years of banking experience. Prior to joining Avenue Bank, Mr. Mills was with Union Planters Bank and Regions Bank. He received his Bachelor’s degree from MTSU.
Andres Tapia has been promoted to Bank Support Manager. He has served as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager at Cummins Station for the past four years. He has eight years of banking experience, including service at Union Planters Bank and Regions Bank. He has a Masters in Business Administration from Belmont University and a Bachelors Degree in International Business from Stephen F. Austin State University. Mr. Tapia is an active member in the Kiwanis Club of Nashville and serves on the advisory board for the Massey School of Business.
Santi Tefel, previously a Concierge Banker for Avenue Bank, is now a Private Client Banker at the West End location. He is a graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, where he earned degrees in Economics and Finance and played on the tennis team. Mr. Tefel was an Ambassador at Great Florida Bank in Miami before coming to Nashville.
Steven Sharp, a native Nashvillian, joins the Avenue team with nine years in the banking industry and serves as a Mortgage Loan Originator at the Green Hills branch. Prior to joining Avenue, Mr. Sharp worked in the mortgage department at Countrywide Home Loans, Franklin Synergy, and F&M Bank.
Ginny Straub is a new Private Client Banking Assistant. She graduated from the University of Tennessee- Knoxville with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. Ms. Straub most recently served as Assistant in Treasury Management Sales at First Tennessee Bank.
Morgan Alexander is a Concierge Banker at the Cummins Station branch. She grew up in Florence, Alabama and is a 2006 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Merchandising and a minor in Management and Marketing. Prior to Avenue Bank, Ms. Alexander was a part-time teller at Bank of America.
Jessica Caver is a Concierge Banker at the Cool Springs branch. She previously worked as a Private Banking Assistant at Regions Bank. Ms. Caver graduated in 2008 from Auburn University with a degree in Communications.
