Dennis G Ott has extensive experience in the legal field. He has written hundreds of articles for senior newspapers in Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties entitled ‘Senior Dynamics’ and for the senior publication in Lewis County named, ‘Senior News’. In his writings, he has covered important aspects of finance, taxation, estate planning and many more for seniors. He has also explained all concepts associated with asset protection from creditors, asset transfer, long-term disability qualifications, business organizations, probate avoidance, current issues and local issues.

He worked as Associate City Attorney for Kelso City for a period of three years and held the job responsibilities of court Prosecuting Attorney which included prosecuting infractions and misdemeanors in District and Municipal courts, representing Kelso Planning Commission and City Council. During his time with City of Kelso, Dennis G Ott was also appointed as ‘Special Ambassador’ by the City Manager. He then worked for City of Longview where he investigated and presented criminal cases for bench trails and litigated jury trails.

With the aim of helping common people in understanding law in a better way, Dennis G Ott also produced and hosted a weekly television program entitled “Know Your Law”. This informative television program featured interviews with community and State political candidates. He invited experts to debate on local issues and delivered lectures on various law aspects such as estate planning, power of attorney, community property arrangements, long term disability planning and lots more.

Dennis Ott attorney held the position of Assistant Scout Master for survival and primitive camping training. He also served as Merit Badge Instructor for the Citizenship series - in the Community, in the Nation, and in the World – these are all Eagle required badges. He also taught other badges which include Law, Archery, Astronomy and Beekeeping.
