Find Out How the State of Your Air Measures Up

27-Apr-2011 | News-Press Release

We all have to breathe. Air quality matters and where you live has a big impact on whether the air you breathe is healthy or hazardous. Learn how your air measures up in the American Lung Association's 12th annual report on air quality, State of the Air 2011.

The report assigns grades for two different types of air pollution—ozone (smog) and particle pollution (soot)—and lists America's most polluted cities. Is your city on the list?

New features in this year's report enable you to see how your city ranks and how the air has improved—or not—over the years. You can even compare the air in your city to another city.

What Can You Do to Help?

Despite the Clean Air Act's 40 years of success in improving our air, some members of Congress are now proposing changes to the law that would weaken these lifesaving protections. Join our fight to defend the Clean Air Act to ensure that public health is protected.

Efforts to weaken this vital public health law pose real threats to all, but especially the 154.5 million people who still live in areas with levels of ozone and/or particle pollution that are often dangerous to breathe.

Take action today.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Paul Billings
Vice President, National Policy and Advocacy
