MEDIA RELEASE: SkillSurvey Achieves Q1 Bookings Growth of 117 Percent over Prior Year

02-May-2011 | News-Press Release

Innovative product developments for its web-based system for checking employment references, as well as continued market expansion, continue to drive the company’s fiscal performance.  Recent developments include:

·         Growth in usage of mobile access to the Pre-Hire 360® program, now running on Blackberry®, iPhone®, Android, Palm® and Windows Mobile devices.  Recruiters can initiate, monitor and view reference assessments while attending job fairs, networking events and traveling between appointments.  In turn, references can also respond while on the road.

·         Enhancements to the passive sourcing database that allows references themselves to opt-in and to join a group of candidates interested in employment opportunities.  A new email now delivers a daily report to the recruiter showing all new passive candidates arriving within the last day, allowing recruiters to engage immediately with these leads.  The sourcing database can replace the need to invest in listings for online job boards.

·         Expanded reach into the financial services sector, which now represents 12-percent of the SkillSurvey® client base and includes clients such as Citigroup®, Genworth Financial®, John Hancock® and M&I® Bank.

“Our ongoing focus on reference assessment and hiring process improvements has generated growth in both established and new markets,” said Ray Bixler, president and chief executive officer of SkillSurvey®.  “Through relentless attention to building new features that offer even more benefits, including expanded delivery options through mobile channels, we are constantly increasing value to all of our users.”

Companies in many industries, from healthcare to retail, are discovering how web-based recruiting solutions improve the efficiency and quality of their hiring decisions.  Over one million professionals have now experienced the SkillSurvey® Pre-Hire 360® software.

The SkillSurvey® system offers surveys that references use to provide confidential feedback about a candidate’s behaviors and skills.  There are over 200 surveys for different positions, measuring the following competency areas:  professionalism, interpersonal skills, problem-solving and adaptability, personal value commitment, managing others and leadership.

After references have completed a survey on a candidate, they can opt-in to the passive sourcing database to be notified of opportunities with the hiring company.  If an organization of average size fills 1,000 openings per year and processes five candidates for each position, it will amass a database of talent leads consisting of approximately 18,000 passive candidates.
