The Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation’s Small Business Initiative Program in collaboration with The Women Business Owners (WBO) of Prince George’s County will host the 6th annual “It’s All About ME!” (IAMM) Women’s Business and Wellness Conferenceon Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Country Club at Woodmore in Mitchellville, MD.

Known for its ability to draw an impressive audience, this event features distinguished guests, workshop facilitators and speakers. Special Secretary Luwanda Jenkins, from the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs, will welcome conference attendees and set the tone for a day filled with renowned presenters, specialists and wellness experts. Gloria Parker, of the Parker Group, will deliver the luncheon keynote address. In addition to a special focus on the organization’s business grant program, WBO will recognize its 25th year of existence along with conference sponsor, Old Line Bank, and other supporters. The IAMM Conference was founded in 2005 by Dawn P. Jackson of the Nudawn Marketing Group, Inc., and former WBO President, to focus attention on the “woman behind the business”, who is often stressed, over-extended and under-valued.

This inspirational conference engages participants in business education, personal empowerment and health and wellness workshops, which are designed to prepare women entrepreneurs for practically any business challenge they may face, economic or otherwise. “I firmly believe that the conference will help successful business women achieve the right balance of work and wellness as they formulate goals for 2011,” said Charlotte Ducksworth, SBI Director.

Registration for the conference is available at www.wbo.org. WBO exists to educate, support, and empower women business owners whose business serves Prince George’s County, Maryland. Since 1986, WBO has successfully supported business owners by providing necessary tools for members to establish and cultivate their businesses into flourishing community entities.
