Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) is offering its integrated UHF RFID reader which offers an enterprise level, high performance yet low cost EPC Gen 2 RFID solution. It is ideally suited for commercial and industrial applications where unobtrusive deployments with a minimum of cabling, readers and antennas are required.

This integrated UHF RFID reader, model 236013, performs thread safe local applications and remote applications on Windows. It provides Cisco-certified DHCP and DNS based configuration, firmware management, TCP/IP networking stack and SSL/SSH-based security. It has separate read and write levels which are configurable from 5 to 30 dBm (1 W) at an accuracy of ±1.0 dBm. The reader offers a maximum read distance of 9 m with 6 dBi antenna (36 dBm EIRP) and a read rate of up to 190 tags/s.

10/100 Base-T Ethernet interface, RS232 serial port and 12-pin screw terminal connector are provided for data transfer. It has 64 MB DRAM memory and 32 MB Flash memory for data storage. This portable RFID reader has Power over Ethernet (POE) capability and external DC power is also available in case PoE is not available. In addition, the high performance reader has 4 inputs, 4 outputs and offers 1 LED indicator.
