FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

XVAND TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION RECOGNIZED FOR EXEMPLARY WORKPLACE PRACTICES

Honorable Mention recipient of prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Award

Houston, TX (October 7, 2010) – Xvand Technology Corporation announced today that it has been named an Honorable Mention recipient of the 2010 Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility.

This prestigious award recognizes employers of all sizes and types in the greater Houston area and across the country that are using workplace flexibility as a strategy to increase workplace effectiveness and yield positive business results.

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition for our workplace practices,” said Victor Grinshtein, President.  “This is a cause that we encourage our clients to participate in, and we’re glad to be a part of it.”

The Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility are part of the national When Work Works project, an ongoing initiative of Families and Work Institute, the Institute for a Competitive Workforce (an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce), and the Twiga Foundation. The Flexible Workplace Initiative (Flexworks), a division of TCT Enterprises, LLC, and South Main Alliance are the official When Work Works partners for the greater Houston area.

The selection process is rigorous. First, employers’ flexibility programs and practices are measured against national norms from Families and Work Institute’s National Study of Employers. Employees are then surveyed confidentially on their access to flexible work options, the supportiveness of the culture and on nationally tested measures of workplace effectiveness.

“As an honoree of the 2010 Sloan Award, Xvand Technology Corporation ranks in the top 20% of employers nationally in terms of its programs, policies and culture for creating an effective and flexible workplace,” states Ellen Galinsky, president of Families and Work Institute. “In addition, what makes this honor so special is that employees have corroborated this, affirming that it is indeed an effective and flexible workplace.”

Xvand Technology Corporation will be recognized at the Workplace Flexibility 2010 Luncheon on October 28th, 2010 at the Hilton Las Americas. For details please contact Yehuda Cagen at 832-204-4848 or ycagen@xvand.com.
