Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Asset Tracking (www.GAORFIDAssetTracking.com) is offering its RFID bluetooth reader which uploads tags ID to Bluetooth based computers/PDAs in real-time. It is widely used in security patrol, mining and finance systems.

This wireless LF (125 kHz) Bluetooth based RFID reader, model 221013, is compatible with most kinds of 125 kHz cards and is compliant with EM4100, EM4102, TK4100 and TK4102. The palm sized RFID reader features low power consumption, light weight and a free SDK.

Working with smart phones or PDAs which run under Windows CE 5.0 or Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6.0, it provides a long read range of up to 7 cm at a fast identifying time of 0.1 s and a high communication baud rate of 9600 bps with a built-in antenna. A keyboard wedge allows for the data to be uploaded in real time and viewed using Microsoft Excel or Word. The reader is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which allows for up to 7000 tags reads.
