Royal Tulip Carat Guangzhou Gets Casual

Guangzhou, China - Starting this morning, the Royal Tulip Day will be held at the beginning of each month. Hence on a monthly basis, all employees from management to staff will wear the same black T-shirt i.e. the brand colour.

On the same day, the 300 employees of the 5-star hotel boutique attended a staff meeting led by Mr. Haike Blaauw, Vice President Operations of Louvre Hotels Group and Mr. Peter L. Herweck, General Manager of Royal Tulip Carat and also Area General Manager of Louvre Hotels & Golden Tulip Hospitality Group for China. Two other special guests from Shanghai were also key part of the event, Mr. Phileas Law, Managing Director of Golden Tulip China and Ms Christina Xu, Marcom & Sales Director of Golden Tulip China. 


Haike Blaauw said, “Most of our hotels are in Europe, Middle East and South America. In Asia Pacific, we have a limited number of hotels but it is the fastest developing market. China is where we want to grow and we are all working hard to achieve that. “


“I am pleased to hear guests saying thank you to the bellboys because the support provided during their stay went beyond expectations.” added Mr Herweck “That’s why we are having this Royal Tulip day where everyone look the same - even GM has no tie today - because for me it is critical to remind each team members that they all play a key role to maintain this committed and personalised service towards guests.”
