Builders are Thriving Online as Home Building Approvals Bounce Back, Announces Oracle Digital

19-Jul-2012 | News-Press Release

Oracle Digital, a leading Website Marketing Company offering Perth SEO services, has announced that businesses, particularly those belonging to the construction, housing and building industries, should seriously consider using online tools in order to make their companies more successful.

This announcement from the company is in light of a new report from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showing building approvals have increased significantly this May – which industry experts consider as a sign of the improving conditions in the industry.

Before the release of the report, analysts had already forecasted that there will be an increase of approximately 5% of building approvals in May, in light of the rate cut adjustments made during the previous months.

But with the release of new ABS figures, it seems that the analysts had it wrong. Building approvals for May had significantly increased by 27.3% - which is actually 5 times greater than the forecast.

This sudden increase was quite a surprise, considering that there was an 8.7% fall for building approvals in April. But as experts explained, this improvement may actually be attributed to the 125 basis points interest rate cuts that were introduced in November.

They also added that on an annual average, building approvals rose in May by 9.3%, after following a 24.1% decrease in April. They noted that for this year, the approvals were much more than they ever expected.

In light of these new developments, those in the housing, building and construction sectors have become more optimistic. This is considering the fact that the housing industry has been showing a steady decline in demand for the past several years – which is why they are quite happy with how things are turning out now.

In order to take advantage of this seeming growth in demand for these industries, experts are saying that companies within these industries should start engaging in more stringent and advanced approaches in reaching their target market and making their brand known. And according to them, one of the most effective ways to do this is by going “online”.

Lauren O’Connor, Marketing Manager of 4Land Property Group, an esteemed Perth property and real estate company, attests to the viability of the Internet as a promotion and marketing tool. She said, “Our marketing efforts have become more fruitful ever since we started aggressively using the Internet as a platform. With it, we are able to reach a wider market and we are able to efficiently promote our new products and house and land packages, at significantly lower costs compared to more traditional advertising mediums.”

James Corby, Business Development Director of Oracle Digital, shares the same view. He said, “With the Internet age we are living in now, reaching your audience is much easier and targeted more effectively. And since the emergence of the Internet, users are constantly growing in number – it obviously follows that your customer market will increase as well.

Corby further added, “Any business, regardless of the industry it belongs to, will need to use advanced techniques in order to address their market and to promote their brand. Otherwise, they will get left behind. And this is where SEO and Internet tools come into play.”
