ICF International Issues Federally Approved PIV Interoperable Identity Cards

18-Feb-2011 | News-Press Release

FAIRFAX, Va. (February 17, 2011) - ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, today announced that it has issued Personal Identity Verification Interoperable (PIV-I) smartcards. These cards were submitted to the U.S. Federal Government and verified as fully compliant with the new PIV-I standards issued by the Federal Bridge Certification Authority (FBCA) in May 2010. These credentials were submitted through ICF’s collaboration with Symantec Corp.’s Public Key Infrastructure team as part of the process that made the firm the very first organization certified by the FBCA as a PIV-I provider on December 12, 2010.

As a result of working with Symantec, ICF is now positioned to issue PIV-I smartcards to federal agencies, government contractors, state and local governments, first responders, and any organization that interoperates or does business with the federal government, including the Department of Defense.

“Deploying our own PIV-I solution positions us to provide private sector clients with the same identity, credentialing, and access management services that we have been providing to our federal PIV clients,” said William Jacob, senior vice president, ICF International. “We believe that the implementation of Symantec’s PIV-I solution will be important to ICF International customers.”
