JDA and Head Guard Introduce New Passenger Safety Product
04-May-2011 | News-Press Release
Head Guard is custom designed to fit each airplane doorway specification and easily fits in the door entry before boarding and deplaning. Head Guard complies with FAA product certification requirements similar to other cabin products and materials and can be easily stored in the cabin overhead bin or closet.
Head Guard is the most cost effective way to eliminate head injuries and the potential that might result, and it can help avoid increases in insurance premiums for commercial and charter operators.
Head Guard will be on display in booth 1322 at the 2011 Regional Airline Association (RAA) Annual Convention May 16-19, 2011 in Nashville at the Nashville Convention Center.

About Head Guard - Head Guard was founded in February 2010 to develop and provide a solution to prevent passengers and service crew from striking their head when entering the main cabin door or service door on airplanes such as regional jets that have a lower door height than larger airplanes. Head Guard is designed to be quickly attached to and removed from the top of the passenger overhead main cabin entryway before and after the loading and off-loading of passengers. No matter what model, series and make of aircraft that is in the airline’s fleet, the Head Guard will form to each entryway contour by using entryway design specifications. This allows the Head Guard to form fit to the aircraft overhead cabin entryway further reducing any future head injuries and legal liabilities.
