In the very beginning teambuilding started with outdoor activities. Catalyst took this one stage further by developing events that combined the skills and techniques required for success in the work environment. Our active events are energising and fun for delegates while staying within their abilities and comfort zones.

Urban Circus

This is circus with attitude - where your people become the stars. Urban Circus begins with our professional circus performers putting on a show that is as edgy as it is entertaining.

As the opening performance ends The Ringmaster announces to the audience that in no time at all they too will be able to perform all the acts they have just seen. The audience, now as performers, are split into teams and are instructed in such skills as juggling, extreme diablo, plate spinning and rolla bolla, amongst others.

After completing training, the teams show off their new skills to The Ringmaster. Focusing on the team, Urban Circus is all about helping and supporting others to achieve their goals. This adrenaline-fuelled, hugely enjoyable and very different event will inspire participants to go beyond the personal and shared expectations they thought they could achieve.

The Great Space Race

Launch a rocket and save the world! Sounds challenging…it is, but it's not rocket science. Stuck on a distant planet your people have one objective - to launch their rocket and get back home. But to successfully launch the rocket they have to take on a series of challenges that will test them to the limit.

Within specially designed aluminium capsules are tasks, tests and puzzles that will require lateral thinking, physical dexterity and teamwork to solve. For each completed challenge teams will earn credits that can be used to purchase rocket launch components.

When all the teams combine their efforts and the components come together, the countdown begins and the launch of a huge rocket takes place - the perfect happy ending to a team working challenge that's simply out of this world.

Quickfire

Sensational teambuilding experience guaranteed to appeal to every delegate, while generating a sense of energy, urgency and competitive spirit.

This event allows the participants to dictate both the content and the running order, while provoking a highly contagious outbreak of positive energy and team spirit. Guided by Challenge Menus, teams pit their wits and ingenuity against a mind-boggling collection of creative, mental and active tasks.

The aim is to out-manoeuvre and out-perform the opposition while maximising points. Quickfire is an event that creates quite an extraordinary atmosphere and being driven entirely by the participants, it is a sure fire way to get everyone involved.

People Power Grand Prix

A high-octane challenge with all the thrills and glamour of the world's most exclusive motor sport. People Power Grand Prix is an event where go-kart components are earned through undertaking initiative challenges. The go-karts themselves are not motorised, but hi-tech versions of the type many of us built from old pram wheels as kids.

People Power Grand Prix makes a truly excellent high note to finish any event with, as the champions take the winner's podium with their laurel wreaths and the inevitable magnum of Champagne.

Survival

When the going gets tough the tough get going…a stimulating challenge in the art of survival, in the middle of nowhere! Designed for a maximum of 25 people, this test is certainly for real, with any rugged corner of the Globe chosen as the location.

Having left the comforts of home far behind, teams must quickly develop a sense of mutual trust and interdependency. It's straight into survival skills and as competence steadily increases and team identity and organisation become established, morale within the ranks begins to soar!

Catalyst is unique in bringing a sense of theatre and entertainment to the experience, with many intricately crafted scenarios adding that essential ingredient – FUN!
