Falconer Says Suspicious Package Blew Him Away
We all read the warnings about being aware of Suspicious Packages, well Falconer Mike Dupuy knows
of one you don’t have to worry about.

In this case it was Dupuy who was contacted by two young women with a group called “Suspicious Package,” – a Bio-Pop musical ensemble made up of Ashlynn Manning, Emily Doubilet, and their videographer/director, Andrew Strasser (a.k.a. Bad Brilliance).

Dupuy is just back from filming a music video called “Bird or Prey” in Brooklyn, NY – with the trio.  “Ashlynn is a friend of my niece Leyla McCalla a professional cellist, they are all part of young hip group of talented aspiring artists in Brooklyn, NY. Ashlynn contacted me about my interest and life with Birds of Prey and with some questions about possibly collaborating on a music video together. They wanted to learn more about what I did with the hawks, falcons, and owls and learn about the birds’ nature.  They wanted to produce their second song & music video around these riveting birds and call the new piece “Bird of Prey.”

Dupuy was going to be attempt trapping a falcon on the Maryland shore in September of 2010, so he invited Suspicious Package to join him at a beach house in Bethany, DE, which would serve as his base camp for the adventure.

“I remember they arrived late in the day, we all sat down to eat some local Maryland crabs, beer and wine.  After we ate I introduced them to the falcons and hawk I brought along for the trip.  The Suspicious Package team was hooked and the next day we went to the beach and took some test still shots and video.  It was funny to hear Ashlynn go through her voice exercises in the study, not my usual trapping trip. We all hit it off and in the months that followed we had several conference calls around the writing of the song and the logistics of filming the music video.”
Having seen their first music video Bio-Pop effort called “Hummingbird,” I was impressed,” said Dupuy. “The song Hummingbird was fun and catchy. The name of the group got my attention, but the artistic quality of the video, which was featured on National Geographic’s Website, and played on MTV, blew me away!”

Mike Dupuy is a professional public speaker, living in Central Pennsylvania, who specializes in Falconry and all things related to Birds of Prey.  He is currently pursuing a deal with a Television Media outlet, focusing on his life as a falconer and the everyday adventures that happen when you live daily with hawks, falcons and owls on your mind and in your heart.

Mike also founded, owns and oversees operation of Mike Dupuy Hawk Food, which provides frozen healthy whole food diets for raptors in the lower 48 states.  Dupuy’s logo and branding is an award winner for its designer Bruce Morgan, and was designed to incorporate any enterprise Mike Dupuy chooses to put his name on.
Dupuy’s Saker Falcon, “Hollywood”, will be featured in the upcoming music video called
“Bird of Prey” produced by Suspicious Package.
