(www.GAORFID.com), a leading provider of RFID Readers, RFID Tags and RFID Software, is offering its Configurable Mifare® Sector Reader which can read Mifare® cards using Mifare Application Directory standard (MAD) sectors as well as non-MAD sectors. It is a perfect solution for use in such applications as access control systems, time attendance and POS systems.

This configurable Mifare® sector reader, model 223018, operates at the frequency of 13.56 MHz and offers a maximum read distance of up to 50 mm with MFA01 cards. It can be configured to read Mifare cards that are compliant with MAD1 and MAD2 standards, or it can be configured to read the user-defined (Non-MAD) sector data.

The weather resistant reader also has an ID number which can be set and transmitted in the case where multi-unit communications is required. Avialable output interfaces include RS232, Wiegand or MSR ABA TK2. In addition, it can be installed on or near metal surfaces.

This configurable Mifare® sector reader belongs to GAO's family of 13.56 MHz high frequency RFID readers.
