Portable UHF Gen 2 RFID Reader Writer

Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Asset Tracking (www.GAORFIDAssetTracking.com) has launched its Portable UHF Gen 2 RFID Reader Writer which has been successfully deployed for field service in warehousing, supply-chain and retail POS inventory control.

This full-featured portable RFID reader writer, model 285001, operates over the frequency range of 865 to 869 MHz and is compliant with ISO/IEC 18000-6B, ISO/IEC 18000-6C and EPC Class1 Gen 2 standards. It allows for multi-detection and is capable of reading 20 tags at one time. This RFID reader writer offers a maximum read distance of 3 m and a maximum write distance of 1.5 m.

It is light in weight and has a large memory capacity of up to 256 MB for data storage. This durable UHF RFID reader writer communicates with a computer via RS232, USB, TTL or IrDA1.1 interface for data exchange. It is powered by a 12 V DC, 1.5 A lithium battery with low power consumption of less than 4 W. In addition, it provides an IP 65 protection rating and is encapsulated within high impact plastic case allowing for robust operation and a long life span in harsh environment.
