4th Global Film Festival Noida

International Film and Television Club (IFTC) in collaboration with Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Film Federation of India is organizing the 4th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN) 2011 from 25th to 27th November 2011 at Marwah Studios Complex, Film City Noida.

On the occasion a press conference was organized with the presence of T.P. Aggarwal, President Film Federation of India & Indian Motion Producers Association , Kalumayana L. Silumesii, First Secretary (Economic & Trade) High Commission of the Republic of Zambia and Robert Beers, University of Central Lancashire. The press conference was chaired by Mr. Sandeep Marwah, President Marwah Studios and President of the Festival.

During the conference Sandeep Marwah gave a brief account of the festival and informed the audience about the International Films to be screened during the festival. He also mentioned that this is great platform for students to interact with prominent personalities. Adding to this the festival director R.K. Singh said that seminars and workshops by well known achievers would be a great insight for all.  

The IFTC was instituted by the Asian Society for Film and Television to promote media and entertainment education and add value to its conceptualization, innovation and implementation. It has organized national and international events to achieve this aim since its inception. The 4th Global festival has emerged as its annual flagship showcase.

The GFFN Noida was launched five years ago. The first festival was focused on Peace and Spirituality, the second highlighted the genre of documentaries and the third presented a bouquet of children films. The third festival had screened 227 films from across the globe. There were more than 5000 footfalls. The GFFN has emerged as the most important film festival of North India and has been noticed nationally and internationally by critics, media and movie buffs.

Before launching the GFFN, The IFTC had initiated short and digital films festival made by Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), documentary and fictional films festival created by Asian School of Media Studies (ASMS) and We Care Films Festival devoted to disabilities and allied issues.

The 4th festival will host the best of world cinema, above mentioned AAFT and ASMS festivals, specially curated films from Egypt, Canada and of course India. The focus segment will be dedicated to films from Welsh. One of the highlights will be a retrospective of the films of internationally acclaimed Jean Rouch.  Noted film personalities from Bollywood and media writers and reviewers have been invited to share their perspective.
